Curious Cuttings And Rebellious Rhizomes – Two artists turn to the natural world to find solace and resilience, employing lens-based interpretations and solar printing methods of their flora familiars. In a time when many are tuned constantly to the current trials of the modern world, Garza and Lynch rebel gloriously by focusing on the undeterred plant life nurturing us even as we struggle within our own species.
Please note: A reception on the date listed above will occur if allowable and safe to host, with potential for an outdoor event to allow safer distancing. If gathering is not advisable, we are considering the potential for a virtual reception via Zoom or Facebook Live on the same date and time. Additionally, The Comfort Art Festival will take place throughout the Comfort business district on Saturday, September 19, 10 am – 4 pm. Carra and Tracy will be our featured artists for that event, and this exhibit will be featured in the art festival guide. Artists may or may not be present during the festival to speak with visitors about their work. Plans for that event may also change, of course, pending the COVID situation.
